Diversity, Equity
& Inclusion

At Digital Trends, we know that the principles of diversity, equity & inclusion in our organization and coverage are essential to our business, and our ethical responsibilities. We know that our employees, audiences and partners are better served when underrepresented voices are heard and protected. And we know that we have work to do.
Our Commitment

Leading the charge at DTMG is our employee-led Committee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Purpose

The DTMG DEI committee’s purpose is to guide our organization through diversity and inclusion efforts, designed to promote an empowered working community where our members, partners, and audience feel welcome to come as they are, human.

Vision

To cultivate and sustain a workplace community that is diverse in its membership and in thought, in which every member is included, connected, and contributing to their fullest innovative potential. Through collaboration and deliberate action, our committee is focused on influencing growth at all levels of our organization: Personal, Cultural, and Institutional.

Beliefs

We believe that worthiness has nothing to do with class, race, gender, religion, abilities, or any factor other than being human.

We believe that proportional access to resources and opportunities is essential to addressing persistent disparities.

We believe that transformation is possible when individuals are willing to build the requisite consciousness to change the status quo.

Pay
Equity

Digital Trends strives to create a fair and equitable pay structure for all employees, with the expressed goal of ensuring that employees belong to underrepresented (non-white and non-male) groups are paid fairly for the same work at the same level, experience and performance, as their counterparts. When benchmarking against industry averages, Digital Trends does better than most, but still has work to do. It should also be noted that our team’s relatively small size over-represents statistical outliers. Nonetheless the data is presented as-is and will be monitored and reported on an ongoing basis.
